Who are we?

We are Hugo Wijtmans and Inge Reinders. We moved with our three children to Christchurch, New Zealand in August 2006.

During our first visit to New Zealand in 1991, we fell in love with the unspoilt nature, beautiful places and friendly people with no hurries.

We raised our family in The Netherlands and built on our educational background and work experience. We thought and talked about the country of our dreams for years and finally in 2005 we decided to emigrate to New Zealand for a better work-life balance with less stress and new adventures. Besides that we believe that New Zealand is a wonderful country for our children with a good school system, lots of sports and outdoor activities. Leaving family and friends behind in The Netherlands is an emotional aspect of our immigration and therefore one of the challenges we’ve to cope with. We are happy with our decision and are enjoying our new life in New Zealand.

Background

Hugo was born in The Netherlands. He has a broad leadership, managerial, teaching, human resources and psychology background. Hugo owns his coaching, training and counselling (individual-, team- and organisational development) business since 1999. Inge was also born in The Netherlands. She studied Dutch language and her background includes expertise in (international) communications and marketing, tourism, editing and human resources. Inge worked in Holland as a co-ordinator in human resources, marketing, incentive events and as a senior consultant in Corporate Communications.
